The Lower Minnesota River Watershed District (LMRWD) is working on a project to stabilize portions of East Chaska Creek from Crosstown Blvd to the pedestrian bridge near Fire Ln. (by River City Liquor). The work will include restoring the stream banks and should be complete by the end of February.
This segment of East Chaska Creek has erosion issues that were identified in a 2012 study. Work will stay in the section of creek that is owned by the City of Chaska.
The LMRWD received grant funding for this project, so there will be no cost to the City.
