Extreme Kids Reimagined

Entering Grades 1-6. Kids....join us! Our programming team has planned exciting crafts, small group games, science experiments, nature walks and much more. Time will be spent at Chaska parks and the Chaska Community Center. 7:30am-5:00pm

Summer is Not Over! Kit

Don't give up now, Minnesota recreation is at its peak! Let the Chaska Parks and Recreation Department help you maximize these precious summer days! Supplies include a colorful yard ball, crafts, sidewalk chalk, sunglasses, bug collection tools, in-the-backyard ideas and delicious recipes. Teen Archery and Paddleboarding

Ages 11-15. Tuesday, August 4, 10:30am-1:30pm. Double the fun with this adventure at Veterans and Firemens Parks. Participants will be introduced to the basics of Archery and Stand-Up Paddleboarding by a trained Carver County Parks Instructor. Register today.

Sandlot Sports in the Park- Ages 5-12
FREE, but pre-registration required.
August 4-27, 10:00-11:00am & 2:00-3:00pm; Tues. (Lions Park), Thurs. (McKnight Park)
Join Parks and Rec staff for some fun in the park. We’ll begin each day by learning the basics of a new sport and finish with a game. We’ll provide the space, the equipment, and the fun! Register today.

Baseball- Ages 4-7
August 11-September 3; 6:00-7:00pm; Tuesdays (Age 4&5), Thursdays (Age 6&7)
Step up to the plate; it's baseball time! This summer discover the fun of baseball with us as we learn about hitting, catching, fielding, throwing and so much more. Perfect for the young person who has some experience, or those who are brand new to the sport! Coaches will pitch to players, with tees being used when needed. Weekly format will consist of practice time followed by a fun game against another team. Team t-shirt provided. Volunteer coaches needed. Register by July 26th.

Flag Football- Age 5-Grade 6
Saturdays, August 22-October 24; McKnight Park
Join the fun! Whether you're a pro football player or learning the game for the first time, Chaska Chanhassen Football Association (CCFA) will get you in the game! We'll work on fundamentals and drill work before playing a game each day. Teams will be formed by grade level with the possibility of playing with one grade level (up or down) depending on numbers. This is a partnership between CCFA, Chaska Parks and Recreation and ECCS Community Ed. Volunteer coaches needed. Register by August 7th.
