Why Volunteer with us?

Volunteering provides a way to make a positive impact on the community, socialize, learn new skills, and develop a gratitude mindset. By volunteering your time with the City of Chaska you can earn volunteer hours for school or work, interact with community members, and enjoy a safe, fun environment to learn and grow as an individual.  

How do I get started?

  1. Complete the Volunteer intake form
  2. The volunteer supervisor will reach out with specific dates.
  3. Sign the Volunteer Acknowledgement Form (PDF) and return a copy to the Recreation Supervisor.

*Please note that some volunteer positions require a background check.

What Volunteer opportunities does the City of Chaska offer?

The City offers multiple volunteer opportunities within the Parks and Recreation Department.  Some of these include: 

  • Community Events
  • Programs for people with disabilities
  • Active Older Adult (55+) Programs
  • Athletic Programs
  • Garden Maintenance/ Park Clean-up
