- Water Node and Electric Meter System Upgrade
The City of Chaska is performing an upgrade of its water node and electric meter system.
Your electric meter and/or water node will be replaced by a technician from the city's authorized contractor, Allegiant Utility Services. Their technicians will have a badge with the Allegiant logo and the City of Chaska's logo. They will also be driving a truck with both logos.
To complete this work, the technician will need access to the water node and electric meter at your property. They will knock on your door to make contact. The entire replacement process should take less than 30 minutes.
If your water node is outside of your home, you do not need to be home. The technician will replace the water node and electric meter on the outside of your home.
If your water node is inside your home, someone over the age of 18 will need to be home. The technician will need to go inside to install the water node. The electric meter will still be replaced outside your home.
You will receive a letter with the ways to schedule an appointment for the replacement of your water node. If you do not respond to the letter, Allegiant will give you a call.
If you don't pay your water bill to the City of Chaska, then we will only be replacing your electric meter.
If you don't pay your electric bill to the City of Chaska, then will will only be replacing your water node.
