Meadow Park is one of 14 neighborhood parks in Chaska. Like other neighborhood parks, Meadow Park will be roughly a half-acre in size and serve visitors and residents within a 10-minute walk.. City staff and local residents have been working on a new park design since the park was temporarily closed for the construction of Chaska’s new Public Safety Facility. Considerations for the park’s design included: (1) maximizing the play area; (2) proximity to the new public safety facility; (3) budget; (4) future maintenance and costs; and (5) landscaping and stormwater management for the park and the public safety facility.
In 2025, the city gathered 96 survey responses about previous park amenities and ideas to inspire the new park design. To summarize the survey results:
Other ideas for the park included: open, greenspace with shaded areas, multi-use sport court, and walking paths.
